Mother of missing teenager says every minute she is gone ‘seems like eternity’

The mother of a teenage girl missing for almost a week said ‘every minute seems like an eternity’ as a desperate hunt for her continues.
Hanna Balcer, 14, went missing from her home in Barnet, north London on April 24.
It is understood investigators are working on a lead that she was in central London yesterday.
Her mother lzabela told Metro she was ‘desperate for information’ on her ‘beautiful’ daughter.
She said: ‘It is a week now since Hanna vanished and we are becoming increasingly desperate as a family.
‘Every moment she is missing seems like an eternity for us.
‘We need everyone to keep their eyes open for our beautiful daughter and pick up the phone to police if you see her or know anything.

‘No clue or scrap of information is too small.’
After leaving home on April 24 she was spotted at New Barnet station at about 5.50pm that day.
Metropolitan Police investigators said the teenager’s disappearance was ‘completely out of character’.
She had links to Shepherd’s Bush and Ladbroke Grove in west London and could be travelling around the capital, they said.
Hanna is 5ft 5in and was wearing a dark tracksuit, black trainers at the time of her disappearance. She was also carrying a black rucksack.

Detective Inspector Mark Young from the Met’s missing persons unit said: ‘Hanna’s disappearance is completely out of character and her family are understandably incredibly concerned.
‘Local officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries in an effort to trace her and we are now turning to the public for help. Please get in touch if you have seen Hanna.
‘While there is no suggestion she has come to any harm or is in any immediate danger, as time passes we are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and just want to bring her home safely.’
Hanna’s family said in a previous appeal: ‘She is just 14 years old and her father and I are naturally very concerned about her safety.’
They added: ‘Hanna, if you’re out there reading this, then please pick up the phone.
‘Your family loves you and we are anxious to make sure you’re all right.’
